At Ashtanga Yoga Calgary we are passionate about helping people experience yoga and enjoy the journey to health, balance and self-discovery. We welcome all levels of practitioners - brand new, renew, and experienced - to come practice in community.
Janet Hawkins, Director and Teacher at AYC, has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga daily for over 14 years, travelled around the world to study, and has over thirty years experience in sport, movement and teaching. She found yoga at a time when she was bruised by life and in chronic pain. Yoga peeled away the hurt and continues to give her a life of joy and wellness. It is with this mindset of the healing power of yoga that she serves her students to find their way to health through energetic alignment, breathwork and postural integrity.
