Mysore with Janet and Assistants
Monday - Friday 5am- 7:30am
This is not a three-hour class! Students are given a start time and finish within the class timeslot. The latest start time is 6:30am and all students must be finished by 7:30am.

Mysore is the city in India where the founder of the Ashtanga method, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, lived and taught for many decades before his passing in 2009. His grandson, Sharath Jois, and Sharath's mother Saraswati, are carrying on the legacy at the Sri K.Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute.

To practise Mysore-style is to practise the Ashtanga yoga asana series by moving at the pace of your own breath. Students learn postures at a rate appropriate for the individual, receiving one-on-one instruction in the postures and hands-on adjustments from a teacher. This class is the best method for brand-new students as well as experienced Ashtanga practitioners that is offered in Calgary, Alberta.

Intro to Yoga - Registered 6 week course
Tuesday 7pm - 8pm , January 16 - February 20, 2018
Fees $108 including GST

This course is an introduction to Ashtanga Yoga. If you are a new student, have taken a break from the practice, or want to polish your basics, this is the best place for you. During this six-week course, you will learn the foundational elements of Ashtanga including basic breath work, Sun Salutations A & B, standing postures and some seated postures. We will practice simple relaxation and meditation techniques and learn a bit about the long history of yoga. Email to register

 

Intro to Mysore - 1 hour workshop plus one week of Mysore
Winter dates:

Primary Series - Resumes January 28!
Sunday 8am- 9:30am

This class is a Led class taught by our most experienced teachers. Students move through the postures  of the Primary Series in unison, guided by the breath. Primary Series is also called Yoga Chikitsa and is known for its purifying and strengthening qualities. Some experience is recommended.

Stretch out your shoulders, neck and back. Strengthen your legs, arms and pelvic floor while spending interactive time with your baby practicing different styles of yoga. You will have the option of incorporating your baby into your practice and/or focus on your personal practice with your baby nearby.

Paige has a special way with Moms, making them feel comfortable and welcome while engaging in yoga practices. Her classes are full of focused bodywork, mindfulness practices and lots of adorable babies. Register today, this class fills quickly.
